CHARON Guitarist Forced To Sit Out Moscow Show
December 31, 2008Guitarist Lauri Tuohimaa of Finnish gothic metallers CHARON was hospitalized this Christmas due to a blood clot. As a result, Lauri is unable to travel at this time and he's currently recovering at home. For this the reason, Lauri cannot take part in the band's New Year's Eve show at Club Relax in Moscow, Russia. The group says, "Luckily we were able to find in a very short time a Russian guitarist who will [stand in for] Lauri at this special occasion."
CHARON has finished writing 15 songs for a new album which the band expects to record early next year for a 2009 release. According to the group, the new tracks "pretty much all kick ass."
